Alexandria Bay, NY

For us, Alexandria Bay was the gateway to the Thousand Islands via a well organized fleet of tour boats.

Uncle Sam Boat Tours was our choice carrier and we enjoyed riding on the paddle wheeler. The All day tour was economically priced. There were places on the trip where we could get off on an island for a closer look and then get on the next uncle Sam that stopped there. There were well stocked food and drink concession on all of the Uncle Sam boats and the prices were very reasonable for a hot dog and drink or a bag of buttered pop corn etc.

The tour boat departure and arrival area reminded me of a small, busy, sea port. Everything was well organized. Parking for a dually was hectic but we did find one within a short walk to the tour ticket booth.

The village has a lot of other things to offer visitors. Golfing, fishing tours with experienced guides and numerous eateries to satisfy your hunger pangs.

Here are some interesting reference materials to browse. Great pictures and pointers for things you may be interested in and don’t know they are available.
