This was our last stop during a more than six week travels in North Dakota. We didn’t have any parking reservations. In Dickinson we saw a large RV park off the highway and drove in to investigate. It was a very suitable park with very large sites and situated where we could make numerous side trips during the day. They gave us a very generous discount for our entire visit with them. http://www.dickinsongov.com/
As always the links are active and the pictures are enlargeable by clicking on them.
We made numerous side trips and visited almost all of the local attractions in Dickinson. However, this is about the huge Theodore Roosevelt National Park which takes more than a day or two to drive through.
During this adventure our friends Don & Betty were with us and so was Linda’s sister Barbara and her husband Tommy. Our truck is the most comfortable for six so we used it for all side trips. Don’s truck is a 4x4 and nice for traveling unpaved roads but none were used in this park as all park roads were well paved and provided numerous pull-outs throughout the park. Here are a few pictures of the gang.
This series of pictures is about the animals we encountered in the park.
This series of pictures are just a random selection from different locations in the park.
